Dr. Sarah Bireete is Chairperson of the Global Network for Domestic Election Monitors (GNDEM) and the East and Horn of Africa Election Observer Network (EHORN), and Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Governance in Uganda. A lawyer and human rights defender, she brings extensive expertise in constitutionalism, elections, civic space, and public interest advocacy. She is a prominent voice on governance across national, regional, and international platforms, with a strong commitment to advancing citizen observation and democratic accountability.
Samson Itodo – Executive Director, Yiaga Africa (Nigeria)
Samson Itodo is a leading voice in electoral governance and civic engagement in Africa, with over a decade of experience advancing democratic reforms. As Executive Director of Yiaga Africa and Convener of the Not Too Young To Run Movement, he spearheads citizen-led advocacy for political inclusion and electoral integrity through initiatives like #WatchingTheVote. He has led election observation missions across Africa and the U.S., advised parliaments, electoral bodies, and civil society, and serves on the Board of Advisors of International IDEA. Recognized globally for his leadership, Samson is a Gates Foundation Goalkeeper and member of the African Union Advisory Group on AI.
