From September 17 to 21 2014 EODS organised a training for Long Term Observers with the African Union (AU). The training, held in French, was developed with the Democracy and Election Assistance unit of the AU (DEAU) and the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA), who give support to AU EOMs and training of observers.
27 Long Term Observers were trained, some of whom already had experience working on AU EOMS. The standard was very high and all participants passed the course, and a third of them were selected for further training as Election/Legal analysts.
