The Election Observation and Democracy Support (EODS III) project organised a training for Political Analysts (PA) from 5 – 8 May 2025, in Brussels. The activity is part of a new cycle aimed at providing election observation practitioners with tools and knowledge to participate in European Union Election Observation Missions (EU EOMs) Core Teams.
The group of 12 participants from EU Member States included nationals from Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
During the 4-day course, participants were introduced to topics relevant to the analysis of aspects such as political parties and candidates’ registration, campaign rules and fundamental rights involved in election campaign activities including observation of campaign financing, as well as political participation of underrepresented groups.
The training also covered the international obligations, commitments and good practices related to elections.
