The workshop for Deputy Chief Observers (DCOs) in EU EOMs has opened today. The event gathers DCOs who served in EU EOMs over the last three years and aims at facilitating peer sharing of experiences, lessons learnt and suggestions on how to increase EU EOMs effectiveness, both methodological and operational. DCOs will also carry out a joint discussion and brainstorming on a few key issues informing EU EOMs work, including: operational consistency of the missions; lessons learnt in Kenya; the role of ICTs in the electoral process; observation of E-Day; Preliminary Statement; EU EOMs Recommendations and follow-up. The workshop will last two days.
