Representatives of the citizen observation groups in the Arab region visited the EODS office on 25 April to familiarize themselves with the project modalities. The EODS team informed them about the evolution of the project since its very beginning (NEEDS I) and introduced the three main pillars of EODS activities - the development of observation methodology, training of EOM analysts and observers and the cooperation with regional organizations and domestic observers. The guest visited Brussels to take part in the workshop “The role of Civil Society Organizations in the Elections Project“ which was funded by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe in cooperation with the European Commission-League of Arab States Liaison Office in Brussels. Adolfo Cayuso, EODS’ Regional Coordinator, took part in the workshop to talk about “Interaction and Cooperation among CSOs/Domestic Observers and international EOMs”.
