The EU experience of deploying Exploratory Missions and using tablets during E-Day observation was shared by the EODS Project Director during a joint LAS-UN workshop held in Cairo on 7-8 March. The event provided a useful platform for exchanging experiences and practices of international election observation with a special focus on needs assessment missions and the use of IT in elections and election observation. The workshop was attended by the participants from AU, ECOWAS, EISA, LAS, OIC, OSCE and the UN.
