From 13 to 16 September, eleven EU EOM core team experts and observers participated in the EODS advanced training on online election content. The training aimed at building capacities on the methodological tools EOMs use to assess new ways of political expression and participation that the development of Internet-based means of communication, the emergence of web 2.0 and social network sites (SNS) has brought about. The EU EOM core team practical guidelines for observing online environment and election related content, developed by EODS, were used throughout the training and shaped the basis of the course programme. This EODS advanced training was also an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and update their expertise on the topics covered by the course.
